ReNature at the 10th ESP World Conference 2019, Germany
ReNature took part in the 10th ESP World Conference 2019: "10 years advancing ecosystem services science, policy and practice for a sustainable future". The event took place in Hannover, Germany and welcomed about 800 delegates from 65 countries.
The conference had a diverse program, featuring keynote speakers from the fields of ecosystem service science, policy and practice and was open for NGOs, environmental agencies, educators, policymakers, politicians and the general public. It was focused on the latest state-of-the-art on the science, policy and practice as well as restoring connections between people and natural ecosystems.

ReNature coordinator, Mario Balzan from MCAST, Malta shared his experience, as a ReNature coordinator, about small island ecosystem services and the project’s nature-based solutions for plants and pollinators in rural and urban areas. He encouraged dialogue between researchers, entrepreneurs and communities to build knowledge and stimulate awareness for sustainable development.
